    I currently serve as the Managing Director at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (501c3 nonprofit, Boston, MA). I studied Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto (Hons. I completed my Ph.D. in the ethics and design of AI at the Consorzio FINO. Currently I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Turin.

    Previously I served as a postdoctoral research fellow at TU Delft, a Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse Global Fellow at Eurac Research, and a researcher at the Center for Religious Studies at the Bruno Kessler Foundation.

    Additionally, I served as a junior associate at the Global Catastrophic Risk Institute from 2013 to 2018 where my primary research and authorship was on atomically precise manufacturing (APM) and other nanotechnology. This research explores the extent and impacts that nanotechnology has on the environment, society as well as the military and surveillance.

    Currently, my main area of research revolves around Value Sensitive Design (VSD), its philosophical foundation as well as its potential application to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0.
