Research topics

My area of specialization lies at the intersection between analytic ontology and philosophy of science (especially philosophy of biology and environmental philosophy), and I work mainly on the species problem and the philosophy of biodiversity, with a focus on conservation sciences ("BIODECON. Which definition for biodiversity conservation?"). Before teaching at the Department of Philosophy and Education, I was an adjunct Professor at the Politecnico of Turin and a Research Fellow at the University of Lisbon. I have been Visiting Scholar at Columbia University and visiting post-doc at IHPST, CNRS/Paris 1/ENS, Paris. At present, I am the coordinator of the LabOnt research group "Ontology of Biology".
